This course provides a means of training pilots with little or no previous flight experience to a standard well above the minimum accepted for FAA Private Pilot certification.

Private Pilot PPL
Instrument Pilot IFR
In order to obtain an Instrument Pilot Rating, you must hold at least a Private Pilot Certificate, and you must successfully pass the FAA Knowledge Test and a practical test for an Instrument Rating. The practical test consists of an oral examination and a flight test. This test is given by a FAA Inspector or a FAA Designated Flight Examiner.
Commercial Pilot CPL
This course is in part an answer to the call by industry including the Air Transport Association (ATA), and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) to "raise the bar" both in standards and content of ab initio commercial pilot training to meet the ever increasing demand for professional pilots.
Flight Instructor CFI
Our flight instructor program is inclusive of all-three instructor ratings, i.e. Airplane Multiengine, Airplane Singe Engine and Instrument airplane, although each rating may be completed separately. To be eligible one must be at least 18 years old and hold a commercial pilot certificate with an instrument rating.
Flight Instructor Instrument CFII
In order to obtain an Instrument Instructor Pilot Rating, you must hold at least a Commercial Pilot Certificate, and you must successfully pass the FAA Knowledge Test and a practical test for an Instrument Instructor.
Flight Instructor Multi-Engine CFI-ME
AFTC's multi-engine instrument instructor rating program adds multi-engine and instrument privileges to your existing Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Certificate. This program provides all necessary ground and flight instruction for tasks required by the Multi-Engine and Instrument Instructor Practical Test Standards.
Airline Transport Pilot ATPL
Minimum previous experience requirements are 1,500 hours total flight time, 500 hours cross country, 75 hours instrument and 100 hours night. AFTC offers both comprehensive extended and accelerated ATP courses. This course was the first course to be certified anywhere in the world by the FAA under part 142 for the ATP in a piston aircraft.
Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot ME-CPL
The student must have both a Private Pilot Certificate and Instrument Rating before enrolling in this course. An assumption has been made that the student has already logged 235 hours of flight time including any FTD(Flight Training Device) hours.
